Stormy Sundays….

Its been non-stop May gray since I cant even remember when…

It sounds like Tristan is having a great time and is in an awesome state of mind. It also sounds like this Bali trip may produce some new music…hopefully!

Also, in some recent tweets from Tristan on Twitter she mentions a possible Europe tour in the future. I really hope she tours the U.S. sometime soon, but I’m happy for all of Europe to be able to see her live! I’m not sure if Tristan has ever played over there?

Alright, so the title may be a bit over dramatic but in Tristan’s latest MySpace blog post she responses to a fan’s letter to her asking if Tristan is “drifting away from us [the fans]“. Below is the letter to Tristan:

Dear Tristan,
I feel as if you are drifting from us. For whatever reason it is, I thoroughly support it. But I just want to let you know that I miss you. The frequent updates and occasional sneak peek to your latest song and going on. However, I think it may be a good thing that we don’t hear from you as often. I hope that you are having a wonderful time. With life, with loved ones, with the holidays. You’ve worked hard! Much love,

Tristan begins her reply with:

Yes i am drifting a little bit, I’m a bit lost…don’t really know what lies ahead, what i want to do next.

She goes on with her reply to Brittany speaking of her record label, radio, her thoughts, her boyfriend, friends and family, her feelings about this latest tour and what she wants right now in her life and the future. I have never heard [in her blogs] Tristan speak this way about writing and putting out music. She uses the words “restless” and “lifeless”. She says that she was only truly happy [on her latest tour/promo] when she was playing for people that were real fans.

Although this blog post made me realize that Tristan may never come out with a new album ever again and I may never see her play live again it really confirmed my thoughts on her playing for the love of the music and the enjoyment. It confirms that when she comes out after a show she really wants to, when she writes on her message board it’s because she wants to, when she writes her lyrics she truly feels them and she’s not writing for anyone else or anything else.

Bottom Line:

I honestly do think Tristan will eventually write and play music again but it seems as though she would just be rather doing other things at the moment. No one can blame her for that! If Tristan never comes out with another song I will be fine. Sure, I want to keep listening to the way her voice and music grow but she has given us tons of awesome music already and no one can ever take that away!

Tristan ends her post by saying:

The only way to get where I’m going, is to get going. So off into the world I go. I hope I never drift very far, I love ya all too much. I guess all I can say is, I hope you are here when I return. Im sure i’ll have some good stories, and i’ll surely want to hear all yours

Since it has been forever since my last post I should also mention that she was selling t-shirts here, here and here in her MySpace blog posts–wait–they are sold out, sorry! Yeah, they have been sold out for a long time (I missed the boat on this one too).

I have been missing in action as of late. I recently moved out of my parents and into my own place, work started again and I have been super busy. Hopefully I will start posting more and posting more news rather than old news! Give me a shout if you have anything to add to this Tristan Prettyman blog. I am also still running Audible Melodies. There have not been any updates but I still maintain it and I will keep updating and adding more tabs, lyrics, etc.

I have been away for awhile but I’m still here.
